Ice Skating: Friend or Foe

I love ice skating.
Let me rephrase that, i love ice skating in small increments.
30 minutes, even an hour. Anything after that, no.
I went with sar & becca and it was so fun
Tips for ice skating: wear socks, not one pair, but two.
The skates rubbed my ankles raw and my socks were pretty thick too...There was music playing and we  played tag and had fun.We watched cute boys skate in circles around us, obviously previous hockey players. Attractiveee. Thank goodness they had their teeth though unlike a couple of those guys. Oh wear mittens too in case you fall because you dont want your hands on the bare ice. I didnt fall once though! A couple of times i was for sure a gonner but i have crazy good balance somehow and dont know how i saved myself...We finished the night with hot chocolate and krispy kremes. I had a maple one, umm the best, try em (although Dunkins better) Dear boys, you cant plan an ice skating date without hot chocolate, you just cant. Oh and girls dress cute because you never know what boys will be there. I obviously dressed for warmth and that was problem number one. One boy did tell sarah i was cute and asked about me!
and if a boy can think youre cute at your worst then dang what would he think at my best?
Ice skating is just one of those things you have to do at winter time.

Boy, you can bake me bread anyday ;)

Peeta you know thats directed at you right?
I dont know why i love this picture?
I am so EXCITED, i can not even see straight. March 23rd hurry up. The books are amazing. I have been staying up, hours after hours just reading them dying to know what happens next but the thing is, i already do. I've read them like four times and i still cant put them down. If you havent read them you need to. You absolutely CAN NOT see these movies without reading the books. Give them a shot. I know the movies will be nothing compared to how phenominal the books are but i'll be a fan anyway. I never even realized they were technically futuristic but they are also political and theres a perfect love story thrown in the mix. I hope the movie captures all of it. I love the characters casted, except i'm a little worried about Katniss...but i'm just gonna trust that she will be perfect when i see the movies. I love her character though, i wanna be just like her. In many ways i am, were more alike than we are different. I also wasnt a fan of who they picked to be Cinna because thats not how i pictured him...Gale is perfect. Peeta is perfect.
I wanna start a book club and talk about all the things i think about the books. They are so goo. Let me tell you the real reason i keep reading them, i found Peeta. Initially, if Gale and Peeta were placed in front of me i would pick Gale, black hair and olive skin are totally my type. But despite the blonde hair, Peeta would win out. His personality is so easy to fall for.
Reasons why i love peeta:
He has bright blue eyes and strong arms.
He always has the words when no one else does
The bread story. My favorite thing ever.
I loved how cute he was in the cave.
All he ever does is try to protect Katniss
He is SO NICE.
He is funny but at no ones expense.
He is very good at remembering at remembering memories/details
I love the way the author describes his facials & how he looks at Katniss
I need to look up direct quotes, theres so many. After I do i'll add em to here. So thank you Peeta because now i will be comparing real boys to you...a fictional character. Dating will just be swell now.
I've also fallen for the actor playing him, hes adorable.
I can easily say these are my favorite books! READ THEM.

Festive Foods

Christmas=baking.
Why do you think everyone gains 10 pounds?
I found some creative Christmas treats that would be great for all your holiday visitors, or treats for the neighbors. The cool thing is you can be creative with food dye and the sprinkles to put a holiday spin on almost any treat. I really wanna try out some fun Christmas cupcake decoration ideas. Happy Baking!

And of course i had to find a cupcake one, however there are no directions. Looks easy enough though right? I'll make these this Christmas and post step by step directions!
ohhh mom....
If youre close, feel free to feed me :)

Things i failed to mention:

Shannons birthday was November 22nd! She is now 19 years old. 18 months apart, so alike yet so unbelievably different, in high school people never believed we were sisters because we were so different but they dont know how alike we are either. From our love of animals, to our stubborn personalities, our love of movies and eating popcorn, our ability to randomly quote lines back and forth, our love of reciting HP spells, reading, etc. You are the best and only little sister i could ever had. I I love you.
Hayley and i enjoyed FHE last week because we won the egg drop. I however thought one person stood at the bottom and caught it while the other person dropped it, however that wasnt the case. First we make some contraption and then drop it with the egg in it. If they all make it someone from another group gets to throw it. Hayley and i won...partially because the boys can not aim and kept throwing ours in the grass. Hey, works for me!
I saw Breaking Dawn at midnight! But only after Kay and i went shopping, ate at the usual and then hung out with Dazz. Finally we headed over there and out theatre was filled. After asking people if seats were taken were they said no then quickly stammered yes we sat in the very front. Very annoying because i think most of the people were saving seats so they could sprawl out, but this just wasnt going to cut it. Well there were like 11 theatres showing the movie and i was gonna find us different seats. Being the "rebel" i am i went to a different theatre and sat there and got us pretty good seats. I felt i was entitled to it since i have seen every one at midnight and seen them all like 3 times in theatres and most of the people who have seen the movies havent even read the books so i dont think you can call yourself a fan. [a pet peeve of mine]With my boxed set of books, my twi shirt and bandaids i consider myself among the top fans. Heck i should have had my own private theatre for viewing...All worked out and we werent asked to never come back again. dont judge me.
sooo i met a cute boy at work...he actually works across from me and hes a stud. I was just standing there and he came up and started talking to me and he did that not once, but twice. He has dark hair and BRIGHT blue eyes. Need i say more?

the hap hap happiest christmas

I've done multiple Fall posts so heres my winter/christmas post!
I changed my ringback tone to a christmas song, Justin Bieber-Mistletoe, haha something that everyone pointed out to me in my voicemails this week. I have been listening to Christmas music since early November though... I mean i dont have my own little house or anyone to make Thanksgiving dinner for so i kinda skip that holiday for now. My room mates were teasing me because i told them you could totally decorate for Thanksgiving, with turkeys everywhere and they laughed. Amelia assured me my house would be adorable though and she couldnt wait to see it. Ahem, thank you. Heres are some Christmas favorites:
Top Christmas music
1.Little Drummer Boy-Sean Kingston
2.Mistletoe-Colbie Caillat
3. This Gift-98 degrees
4.My only wish-Britney Spears
5.All i want for Christmas-Mariah Carey
6. Mistletoe-Justin Bieber
7. Breath of Heaven-Amy Grant
8.Santa on the rooftop-Trisha Yearwood
9.Mary did you know?-Donny Osmond
10. Christmas (baby please come home)-Cher
11.What Christmas means to me-Stevie Wonder
12. Baby its cold outside-Jessica Simpson
13.This Christmas-Chris Brown
14. Last Christmas-Ashley Tisdale
15. The First Noel-Nysnc
16. Emmanuel, God with us-Amy Grant
17. The kid in me-Donny Osmond
18. ive been looking for christmas-Donny Osmond
You will not be dissapointed i promise, make a mix. I know you probably saw some names and went um no. Same here...haha but these songs are great. Tips: Dont look for the Amy Grant song on youtube i kept finding a weird version and buy the WHOLE Nsync album, it is unbelievable or at least check it out same for the Donny Osmond and Amy Grant ones, i grew up on them. What else do we love about christmas? well, all the lifetime christmas movies, the chickfila seasonal peppermint milkshake, christmas lights, christmas trees and decorating them, staying in and watching christmas movies, baking, going to see the temple lights, snow and snowboots, christmas hymns in church, eggnog (my mom has a great recipe!) and all the recipes for it which leads me to this...Eggnog Pound Cake-its gotten great reviews...
Recipe - it also has a eggnog cupcake recipe at this link!
Top 5 Christmas movies
1. Chevy Chase Christmas Vacation
2. Elf
3. I'll be home for Christmas
4. The Santa Clause
5. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
I know I'm not touching on the "classics" but these are some of my favorites :) No specific order

And for breakfast this year i want this
Santa breakfast
We usually have cinnamon rolls and eggnog Christmas morning but last year we switched it up to those plus breakfast pizzas, it was a first. I mean i'm all about tradition but i think Connor would love this this year! heck i would...

Finally, dont forget the gift giving.
I love scrubs and anything that smells good. One not so great thing about winter is the dry skin for most so here are some awesome blogs with gift giving DIY ideas i found.

These are some of my favorites for Christmas time, i would love to hear about yours!

The I post idea

i want, i will strive for, i will eat, i will create, i will remember, i will wear it, i love it, i need it, i will travel
A new post idea to tell readers what i am lovin on. Let me know if you like it!
This next month i'll strive for this.
i'll make this. so simple, yet i love it. its an empty wipes/cleaner container decorated to hold plastic bags.
This would be so useful in our cramped little apartment, we have those things everywhere...
I want. Weird caitlin fact? I will only run in Nikes, i wont even look at anything else. These are borderline need if you saw the condition of my old running shoes...
i'll remember this. Not that i worry now but someday i will. This is so true though, my future hubby is gonna be pretty amazing bc he'll have so much time to prepare :)
I LOVE. my guest room will look like this some day. I love to decorate. When i go home in a few weeks ill do a post showing how cute my room at home is that i painted and decorated with the help of my dad. It is amazing and bright and happy.
I will eat. Oreos? love em. Cheesecake? Obsessed. Oreos AND cheesecake? There are no words.
Get the recipe here: The girl who ate everything -love the blog name too!
I will travel. I have wanted to go here SO BAD. This is in the Grand Canyon, Havasupai Falls. I need to see all the midwestern spots while im out here. So hard to get there though because they apparently only let a certain amount of people a year but this is my goal.
I need. I dont think you understand. When i saw this, i searched the whole internet. This is almost a $2000 kitchenaid. How often do you find a blinged out, not to mention pink kitchenaid? Now ill just have to settle for a regular pink one, but i havent seen a pretty hot pink or yellow yet so ill hold out but i would go to town with one of these.
I will wear it. Well its no surprise since i love off the shoulder things and picture #2, i LOVE these glasses, i used to have a smaller pair until Enowah lost them haha but i asked for a pair for Christmas! picture #3 someone help me find these...
Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend! I'm spending the rest of my night after a long 9 hour shift of retail on Black Friday blogging and i love it. I hope you like this idea because i wanna try and do it every Friday!
