Laid Back Boston Style

We just got back Monday from our California roadtrip. We got on a juice fast (since we stuffed our faces), watched Halloween movies, got locked out of our home one morning and Lyle blew out two tires/rims on his car when someone left a cement block in the road. Needless to say this week (besides the Halloween movies) hasn't been my favorite. We've been cleaning, doing more packing, visiting family and planning for our next trip. I've been wanting to do a giveaway and I will by the end of this year, but its just been a little crazy over here.

I have had my eye on the black Toga Pulla bootie for months now. However I just couldn't pull the trigger at $440 but these are almost identical and they fit and feel perfect. $39.90 > $440. Also, thanks to google you can always find 10% off of Forever 21. These are my favorite knock off purchase ever. Onto this coat for $29. Love Culture has the cutest stuff and they are always having sales. I buy lots from them and right now they have 25% off all outerwear. It's getting chilly here so i've been bringing out all my coats and this is my go to chill outfit. We are heading to Spring and Summer weather in TWO DAYS. First off, I am freaking out and Second off, I am trying to get as much use out of these babies as I can. Happy Sunday babes, I'm off to spend some time with the family.

Floral & Asos

Lyle is back from California! Does it feel like I am always talking about him coming and going?! It seems that way at least...but its starting to get into his busy season and I am soaking up every second I can with this boy. We have been SO blessed with the weather this Winter, meaning, we didn't really have a Winter. This past week was a little colder (than it has been) so instead of wearing my cute bow wedges  with this dress, I decided to do an edgier look with these amazing Jeffrey Campbell look alikes, a hat and a black leather jacket. I can't wait to wear this all Summer long! Don't be surprised if I wear lots of floral.

But anyway, I got this baby on sale like pretty much everything I get. I grabbed some other sales dresses from Asos and I'm so excited to wear all of them. If you're looking for cute dresses or anything floral, Asos is your place. Most people know about Asos, especially if you're from Utah because they have a great selection of modest dresses. I've got another European store for ya- Oliver Bonas. It's a well kept secret and I found out about it when we were in London and I loved everything I tried on. They have some cute modest stuff and I bought a couple midi dresses for under $25! One was $17. Until midnight tonight they have an extra 20% off sale! WOO. Happy Sunday everyone!

Gold & Red

I can't decide what my favorite part of this outfit is...the gold tee perfect for layering these perfect CHEAP moto jeans or this plaid coat. These moto jeans are on sale for $20. I have searched and searched for these jeans. Nordstrom has tons of cute ones that are far too pricey for my liking. I know some people spend tons of money on jeans but I just can't. These are cute and look way more expensive than they are. The only thing is the zippers can stick and be weird on their jeans but the price is worth it. You can try a safety pin for those annoying zippers anyway. I also got these and Lyle says they are his favorite jeans on me!

Leopard + Plaid

We are settling back into the old routine here at the Measom household. Lyle just got back from a sales trip in Saint George last week but Murphy and I stayed here and played!! applied to jobs... I actually already was offered two but both would need me on Sundays so I declined. However, I got a call back somewhere and I'm headed there after I finish this post. Okay but I really did get to play too. Anyway lately I am loving graphic tees lately. Not the ones that say I'm hot and I know it (is that even a graphic tee saying?) well you know the ones I'm talking about...but I loved this tee. First off it is 100% accurate, just ask that cute husband of mine, and second I can dress it up or down. I just got another cute tee too that I plain on wearing with this sparkly skirt- like I said, dress it up or down. They are fun and right now I'm just gonna roll with this new love of mine...along with the Pina Colada Orange Julius and buffalo plaid. Oh also sorry about the picture overload, I just couldn't decide! Happy Monday everyone

Kate Spade

would seriously be my best friend if we were to ever meet. I love all her bright pieces, the bows, the bling and most importantly, her love for leopard seems to match mine. I fell in love with this dress months ago but I did not fall in love with the price tag... so i waited, and I waited and I waited some more and thank heavens for Ebay guys. I got it for more than half off. I think it ended up being 75% off. It had the tags and everything, it was brand new. I can't stress enough my love for Ebay...Lyle probably regrets showing it to me. Moral of the story: you can pretty much find anything you're looking for on Ebay and get it for a heck of a deal. I love this dress for various reasons, one being that leopard transitions so well for every season and it never goes out of style (if you ask me). Since the print is so wild its best to pair with black and brown and a pop of color. I love red with leopard so I chose the shoes but a bright cardigan, bright scarf/purse or statement jewelry would go perfect too. I love that this dress has pockets and is modest! Let me just say it was SO worth the wait.

Also I have searched for a good leather (well fake leather) jacket for a long time. They are a staple for every wardrobe guys. I wear it with everything. Anyway we have been driving ALL DAY LONG so I am going to relax in our hotel room. P.S SOUTH DAKOTA IS FREEZING. kbye.

Thug Life Shirts

Here's to the period in our lives where we live out of suitcases for months....hence me not being able to find clothes and put outfits together and basically living in workout clothes. But it's okay because I actually love living in hotels. Cheers to our LAST full week in Texas. Oh my gosh. Lyle asked me the other day if I felt like the Summer flew by and it most definitely did not. But I have loved this time together exploring a new city and I am so happy to support him in any way that I can. My days lately have been spent working out, trying to repack so we have less boxes (remind me next Summer to pack 1/3 of what I did) and planning our upcoming fun adventures. Lyle is gonna hit his goal and we will be in Utah on Sunday for a couple days to meet with counselors, do anniversary pictures, take tons of suitcases back and grab warmer threads for some East Coast and Europe weather. Then pack to Texas for a couple more days of selling & we are off! On a side note, I CAN NOT BELIEVE OUR ONE YEAR IS NEXT WEEK. Be prepared for a picture overload.

Oh and on a side note I LOVE this skirt. I first saw it but it sold out super fast and when it came back I snagged it because at Brickyard Buffalo the price is always right. P.S. I'm not even endorsed to say that, I seriously just love their stuff so much. I just ordered the most perfect fur vest I have been wanting for months and months. But anyway this skirt isn't lined so I had to wear a slit underneath but thats no problem. When I first saw it, it was styled as a coverup over a swimsuit and I initially planned on wearing it as one but it can be worn so many ways. For Summer it can be paired with floral and bright colored tops and then transitioned into Fall with blazers, cardigans and leather jackets. I bought a small but its a little more snug than my usual smalls just FYI. Oh and I had planned on wearing the cutest red pumps I scored for $8 at Platos Closet but well I bit by an ant or something and my foot is 3 times its normal size so I had to settle for flats I can barely fit in but hey, things happen. Anyway this wifey tee is cheaper than the ones all the fashion bloggers have because well I don't like to pay an arm and a leg for a tee but I basically live in this tee. I got it over a year ago and I wear it more than any tee I own. I love that I can wear it for date night and glam it up with some necklace and red lipstick but I can also wear it to sleep (because I do that too haha). Whatever works. I got it in a small and its not skin tight. The way I tied it below gives it a different look but I usually just wear it without the knot and its way comfy. Oh and this blazer? $10. I already blogged about it once but I just love Utah boutiques. I posted a great alternative for only $39. A blazer can dress up any outfit. Anyway thanks for stopping by, it really means a lot. If there are certain things you want to see styled or certain items you are looking for, feel free to let me know.

Happy Monday

Not much to say today except one. I really seem to like pink and never noticed and two. i love glitter and bling and have always noticed. I got this skirt on SALE as I do with pretty much everything I own and I love it. These heels are a Black Friday steal and I have a funny story. So I wore these church one time when I was visiting my home ward and a conversation like this occurred.

Woman:"those are some shoes!"
Me: "I got these for only $11!" said proudly
Her response: "I can see why"

Well, this is a perfect example of how everyone has different tastes. I took no offense to it and laughed because I like what I like and I guess sometimes I like overly blinged out things. But on a positive note I wore this outfit this past summer when I was home and my nieces followed me around all day telling me how beautiful I was and how much they loved my outfit because I looked like a princess....and as long as I please some little babes then thats all that matters, right? But if I might add Kate Spade has a beautiful new line of glitter heels out and they are just perfect.
