Lyle and I have been home now for 5 days and I still feel like we are adjusting. We got in late Saturday night and then couldn't fall asleep all night. The next couple days was a struggle trying not to fall asleep too early but still waking up at 3 or 4 a.m. everyday. Being back in the cold has not been a bummer on my end, I can't say the same for Lyle. Each year I get pretty excited about all the new coats and jackets. They are definitely my Winter obsession. But finding them for a good deal is even better so I listed some of my favorites below! I may have already got a few of them with some amazing Black Friday deals. All of these are $100 or less!
I think every wardrobe could use a trench coat. They are perfect for transitioning through every season. Missguided has tons of coats I love and if you have a student ID it works here!
I order from this website all the time. It's super cheap but sometimes things take a long time to come and you need to read the reviews! Sometimes things don't look the same so I check the reviews and the pictures that other people post before I order something! Everything I've ordered has been good!
We just got back Monday from our California roadtrip. We got on a juice fast (since we stuffed our faces), watched Halloween movies, got locked out of our home one morning and Lyle blew out two tires/rims on his car when someone left a cement block in the road. Needless to say this week (besides the Halloween movies) hasn't been my favorite. We've been cleaning, doing more packing, visiting family and planning for our next trip. I've been wanting to do a giveaway and I will by the end of this year, but its just been a little crazy over here.
I have had my eye on the black Toga Pulla bootie for months now. However I just couldn't pull the trigger at $440 but these are almost identical and they fit and feel perfect. $39.90 > $440. Also, thanks to google you can always find 10% off of Forever 21. These are my favorite knock off purchase ever. Onto this coat for $29. Love Culture has the cutest stuff and they are always having sales. I buy lots from them and right now they have 25% off all outerwear. It's getting chilly here so i've been bringing out all my coats and this is my go to chill outfit. We are heading to Spring and Summer weather in TWO DAYS. First off, I am freaking out and Second off, I am trying to get as much use out of these babies as I can. Happy Sunday babes, I'm off to spend some time with the family.
Here's me being so basic but, I freaking love Fall. My stateside dream trip is road tripping through New England area and seeing all the leaves, cute little homes and stopping for cider and donuts. I love layering. This is actually two dresses, one on top of another because it was too short. I've been stocking up on boots, boot socks and cardigans for months now. Majority of this outfit is from Forever 21 because they have the cheapest cutest sweaters and clothing in general honestly. Also, let me talk about these booties, I LOVE THEM. Lyle commented that he didn't know how I wear "heels like this" but they are the most comfortable things ever. They are a little different than something I would normally wear but I am so happy with this buy.
On our way back from Houston we stopped at the cutest places. After our weekend in Austin (coming to the blog soon) we headed on to the cutest little town of Fredericksburg, TX. Right before we got to the main street we found this stop with pumpkins, flowers and treats so we stopped to snap a couple pictures. I absolutely love road tripping and seeing new places and deciding which ones we could make a life in. Even though it was small, Fredericksburg was one of my favorites! The main street was straight out of a movie filled with candy shops, home decor stores and random odds and ends. If you saw my snapchat story, you saw Lyle in heaven sampling all the difference sauces and jams from one our favorite store ha. I am definitely enjoying this little break from our travels though, we can't wait to take on California tomorrow.
Lyle came home just for a few days and we road tripped through 3 out of the big 5. I can't wait to share more of the pics from our trip! This outfit post was taken in Capitol Reef, one of the prettiest places I have ever seen. A while back I saw this barn and I have wanted to see it since then...it did not disappoint. We saw a family of deer, grabbed some home made goodies at the cutest little store and did a 6 mile hike to Cassidy Arch.
every bit as amazing as it sounds too. I've had this for about a month and it still smells AMAZING.

I really enjoy Marvin Gaye. Random right. I quote his song lyrics quite frequently actually so when I heard this song on the radio the other day I was in love. Definitely not a PG song by any means but it gives me major dirty dancing and old school vibes (the beat is insane) and its SUPER catchy, like stuck in my head for 3 days and I can't get rid of it catchy... anyway Charlie Puth sings this and if you're wondering where you've heard that name, he also sings another song I am obssessed with right now- See You Again with Wiz Khalifa
3. New Forever 21 Happenings
Besides the fact that some of these new happenings are expensive...Forever 21 is upping it's game. I'm talking Dolce Vita here people. All sorts of new merchandise like this beautiful modest dress below. Hellooo I am in love. Now just go on sale please.
Let's all just take a moment to say thank you to the creator of Pinterest. So a couple of my old roomies and I have a Wives Club (yes that's a thing ha) & at our most recent one this was made and ITS AMAZING. First off, I don't even like sweet potatoes... Second off, its so unbelievably easy. I only like scrambled eggs so I substituted those instead. I linked it to a recipe but you honestly don't even need one. Just a little oil, some premade sausage I cut up, sweet potatoes and scrambles eggs and since I didn't have any rosemary or thyme on hand I used italian seasoning and it was just as good and took 5 minutes. Also, my friend said it qualified for the Paleo diet so there's that.
I never had time for Netflix...and I still don't but this has been consuming all the little extra time I have...or rather the time when I should be sleeping. If you've seen it you know what the hype is all about and if you haven't just watch one episode. You can thank me later. I am still thanking Maddie.

Did you know you can watch flights? Well I had heard about it but I signed up recently and I am getting some great deals on flights in my inbox. We have a lot we are doing this Fall and we are pretty flexible on when so when a price drops heading to my desired destination I know about it. You just put in where you wanna go and out what airport and voila.

8. Taylor Swifts New Album
For all you Taylor haters have you really listened to some of the songs? Bc I bet it will be hard to still dislike her. It's okay, you guys can totally change your minds, no body is gonna judge you...she's pretty awesome. I've seen Taylor in concert and she is nothing short of perfection. It's really just a fun show with costumes and good music. She is coming to SLC in September and I want someone to get pit tickets with me, if not poor Jessie is going to have to fly all the way out to see it w/ me again because I HAVE to go.

I absolutely love finding Anthropologie inspired pieces at places that are not Anthropologie. Every now and then I give in because they seriously have the cutest stuff but who can afford 90% of their stuff. No one...unless its a killer sale. This shirt reminds me a lot of something I would see there. I love the bell sleeves and boho feel. This is one of the many amazing pieces I scored from Forever 21 for seriously 1/4 of the price. I listed a couple other amazing finds below! I had two other perfect picks but they already sold out! So when you see a great find assume everyone else did too because the good stuff goes fast.
A lot of people tell me they get overwhelmed shopping at Forever 21 and so do I so I online shop. But if that overwhelms you too just go to the new arrivals and scan those. There are less pages for you to deal with or you could just use the search bar for whatever you are looking for. If you're looking for something good, its worth it. Also, how pretty is my neighborhood?! I have loved this weather and all the beautiful blossoms! Not to mention that I have gotten to lay out multiple times this week! TGIF guys. Well in 17 minutes for us Utah people.
