did "prince charming" get "mail time" with a "busy schedule?"

So I decided to combine all my recent topics into one blog :)
Yesterday I literally sprinted to the mailbox because I was hoping to get a letter. Now there are some things in life that really stink, but running to the mailbox to get a letter and seeing nothing is probably the worst, or at least lately it seems to be. So I sent out a package to one of my best friends and tried calculating in my head when i would get a letter but i failed precalc so i really wouldnt trust my math calculations...regardless it was so depressing and i really wish i was a patient person.
That song by the Marvelettes practically rings through my ears:

"please mister postman, look and see
is there a letter a letter for me?
I've been standing here waiting mr postman,
so oh so patiently, for just a card or just a letter"

What a perfect song, especially for girls writing missionarys. Now i love writing but ill admit it i wasnt always the best at writing them, one close friend of mine i wrote once, although there were like 4 letters in one envelope so that counts as more right? I can write them but never ever send them which is really weird because usually its the other way around...oh well. But now that i have so many good friends out at the same time i figured i needed to step my game up. This semester i have been ridiculously busy but have still found time to write the boys, which is such a blessing. My teachers all decided to hand out five or so writing assignments with random dates on the top and now my stress level is through the roof. Now between mail time and my busy schedule i found my fake prince charming. Fake being the key word here because 1. i dont really know the kid and 2. if i dont really know the kid how can he be my prince charming? Exactly.

So it all started with a princess who was heading to her jazz dance class a little early than normal because she knows of a handsome prince who happens to hang out in the enchanted forest, also known as the DH building. But anyway the one day she sets her mind on talking to him, he isnt there. of course. Anyway she goes to her dance class and then heads out, walking slow depressed with her luck. Then to the princesses surprise the handsome prince is coming up from the other side with two knights in shining armor. The princess slows to an almost stand still. The men speed up and start embarrassing themselves and being stupid (a common theme among groups of boys) and the girl freaks herself out and realizes she has lost her "chariot". The boys are staring at her as she searches the parking lot..and she cant find it...cool. Then to her surprise the boys get into a chariot which is right next, none other than the princesses chevy tahoe. How embarrassing. The princess must then do the walk of embarrassment for losing her car, er oops i mean chariot as the boys are already in their car just sitting there. She then does a common thing among girls, she pretends she has a phone call. Now i know this fairytale story was ruined because princesses did not have cellphones so were just gonna say this is the modern version. Anyway, i have used the "oh i have a phone call" trick so many times in my life im gonna have to say that im a pro. I just talked and talked to myself as i got in the car. Now there are a few reasons for a girl to use this trick...1. she does not want to talk to someone/ its easy to avoid people 2. you want to appear wanted/ really cool or 3. your a wacko and do it for fun. My reason being 1 and 2.

So my chance was blown but i am looking forward to tuesday when i get to go to my dance class again :)

in love with love

I was inspired to write a blog thanks to my best friend who has the funniest blog, so I'm going to give this a shot. So this weekend I just saw the movie Valentines day and I LOVED it. It was so cute, although I'm a complete sucker for anything sappy and romantic, so I may not be the best critic in the world because it falls in my usual category. Now if your a girl who finds Ashton Kutcher, Taylor Lautner or Bradley Cooper attractive it is a MUST see, and if you dont something is completely and utterly wrong with you. I saw it with some of my best friends and at the end as the song Fairytale by Taylor Swift was playing I realized I hate it when good love movies end especially this one because I was then reminded I do not have a boyfriend and I am in fact in the real world and unlike the movie, my best friend is not in love with me, sadly. Now normally I would not care that I dont have a boyfriend because I am all for the woman power jazz and being independent but when you see movies like this I'm like crap wheres mine? Then i look around me and see all these couples which is a major bummer and i also remind myself all this money i am wasting being single. If i was on a date i would not have to pay 10.50 for a movie! which btw is ridiculous. Heather always complains about being in maryland and not having all these dates who pay for her, which is a totally accurate statement. I mean i know this sounds bad but it is just one of the many perks of being a girl so i will enjoy it and nice boys. So anyway back to the movie night, a slight damper on the evening, however after going home I then proceeded to sit and listen to Taylor Swift songs( not the boy hating, you broke my heart songs but the im a teenage girl so naturally boys are always on my mind)over and over because her musicalways makes me smile. You may be surprised to know that I love the actual holiday as well, even though I never seem to have a legit valentine..but oh well. Whats not to like about the holiday? Even if your not in love theres always an abundancy of flowers and chocolate(both are favorites) that you can buy yourself, as lame as that may seem...However, this year this guy asked me to be his valentine and then worked all day...? yeah so it was really like i didnt have one but he asked me so sweetly so its the thought that counts i think. Overall the movie night was a success and i definantely recommend seeing this movie, so take some best friends or a really sweet boy and go see it.
