I really feel like I am so easy to please. I would like to think this is a pretty sweet quality and a blessing for my future husband. Today I was just sitting in psychology when rather than listen to my teachers lecture I was thinking about how blessed I am for having so many things I love about life and very little that I am not that fond of. Honestly people should sit down and write lists about things they love and the simple things that make you smile. it just makes you so happy :). ahemm on my list:
1. best friends who are missionarys who send me letters. :)
as much as i miss and think about them every single day i know they are where they are supposed to be. I would like to add that heather connors blog on missionaries is my favorite ever because i would dislike it if random girls flirted with my friends on missions and distracted them...besides i was the one who was so dedicated in writing to them over the past 2 years and if anyone gets dibs on these handsome, spiritual men...its me. :)
2. flowers-
I LOVE flowers. I want them everyday. Flowers are great for so many reasons, they smell good, they remind me of spring and they instantly make anything prettier. I have fake ones all over my room for these various reasons, minus the whole smelling good thing. In conclusion I love flowers. <---- i was told never to end sentences in in conclusion but this is a blog so oh well.
3. people watching- in new york i would sit on the subway and just watch people pretending i knew where they were going and sometimes i would talk to them, oops. at the mall or any public place, sometimes you see the sweetest moments.
4. when i get an answer right on jeopardy-
i love love jeapardy. i shout random answers out all the time but i love when i get them right and my family looks at me in amazement and goes good job. i should be offended but im not.
5.hammocks-
when im older i need to have a hammock. no matter where i live im having one. my aunt has one at her lake house where i would read on it every night and i love them.
6. finding new talents-
i love when i find something im good at or think im good at but it turns out im really not because in that short time i was good at it. hahaha that makes sense. i recently found out i am good at putting my phone under my desk and typing whole conversations without even looking at it. no points lost in class for me. my favorite discovered talent would have to be my scary movie scream. when i get famous hopefully ill be cast in a horror flick because i want to use it so bad. sometimes i just randomly do it at home and the dogs start barking, shannon starts laughing, my dad smiles and shakes his and my mom gets mad. but it is so worth it.
7. that i have a nose-
this may be an odd choice but if you think about it, it is extremely important. I love the smell of cookies, cake brownies whatever, the smell right after it rains, the smell of flowers, the smell of the beach, the smell of gas-even though im sure that is not healthy, really everything. i just realized how thankful for my nose i really am. i would never pass these things up
8. old people
i know it sounds bad but i really do. i love them esp old people couples. every summer we go to florida to visit my grandparents and we go to this place called richards where my grandparents go every single morning for breakfast and majority of them are all old. they always come up to me saying "if i was a young lad i would ask for your number" -they seriously say lad or "look these are my grandchildren" or "well i was in the war.." and tell a war story..or my favorite "look how much youve grown" these never bug me though, i love how sweet and kind they are.
I also love learning new things, my recent one is sign language, funny faces, listening to pretty musical numbers in church, going to new york, my family and the quirks that set us apart, playing cards, photography, when you dont want to smile but someone can make you, weddings/pictures from weddings ( i love seeing all the cute/funny poses and happy couples), a new pair of shoes, a good funny story, a happy ending, going for drives with the window down, boardwalks, soccer, a good book, waterfalls, storms(and watching them from my gparents deck in florida where the storms are the best), surprises, raw cookie dough, swings, smores and bonfires, when my bestfriend calls me cait or says witty things, cute text messages, inside jokes, stars, accents, traveling, music, guitars, fireworks, the feel of sun on my skin, childhood memories, people with imaginations, honey suckles and the memories that come with them, when a guy plays with my hair, payday, random acts of kindness, squeezing myself into my moms lap like im a baby ( yes i am 18 and still do that, i will never be to old), rollercoasters, naps, dreaming, writing, letters, crazy socks, winning a game...okay i got carried away and could go on forever
i typed in thinks that make me happy on google and just read random peoples lists that make them happy and it made me happy :) do it, you see so many little things you forget.
