Small Town Saturday Night

On our way back from Houston we stopped at the cutest places. After our weekend in Austin (coming to the blog soon) we headed on to the cutest little town of Fredericksburg, TX. Right before we got to the main street we found this stop with pumpkins, flowers and treats so we stopped to snap a couple pictures. I absolutely love road tripping and seeing new places and deciding which ones we could make a life in. Even though it was small, Fredericksburg was one of my favorites! The main street was straight out of a movie filled with candy shops, home decor stores and random odds and ends. If you saw my snapchat story, you saw Lyle in heaven sampling all the difference sauces and jams from one our favorite store ha. I am definitely enjoying this little break from our travels though, we can't wait to take on California tomorrow.

Happy Monday

Not much to say today except one. I really seem to like pink and never noticed and two. i love glitter and bling and have always noticed. I got this skirt on SALE as I do with pretty much everything I own and I love it. These heels are a Black Friday steal and I have a funny story. So I wore these church one time when I was visiting my home ward and a conversation like this occurred.

Woman:"those are some shoes!"
Me: "I got these for only $11!" said proudly
Her response: "I can see why"

Well, this is a perfect example of how everyone has different tastes. I took no offense to it and laughed because I like what I like and I guess sometimes I like overly blinged out things. But on a positive note I wore this outfit this past summer when I was home and my nieces followed me around all day telling me how beautiful I was and how much they loved my outfit because I looked like a princess....and as long as I please some little babes then thats all that matters, right? But if I might add Kate Spade has a beautiful new line of glitter heels out and they are just perfect.

All about the booties

I love casual comfy outfits and this one tops my new favorite list. Everyone always acts surprised that I wear "heels"all the time but these are amazing. I got them real cheap in New York at a place called Strawberry over Winter break but I found them at Charlottes Russe too. They have them in other colors too. They look like a pair of Aldo knockoffs I initially wanted! I love them. The necklace and boat shirt in this color may still be at your local J Crew Factory but they aren't online at the moment. The necklace is to die for! I have had my eye on it for a while. It goes with absolutely everything and I get so many compliments. I love it.  The vest was a perfect touch to this simple yet comfy shirt and I wear it with a lot of things. I thought it dressed it up just a bit. I loved the little bit of sunshine I got when I wore this outfit and I cant wait for Spring and Summer!

denim and plaid.

Welcome to Utah, where it is pretty much always snowy. Or at least it seems like it- so boots and layering are always in. Most of you know my obsession with hunters but they are seriously amazing. Comfy, cute and practical. My denim jacket is also one of my new favorites. I was kind of concerned with how it would look with the plaid but I'm happy with how it turned out! Layering is so fun to play around with and don't be afraid to try anything! Try adding a scarf or a big statement necklace or even another layer in between- especially if its cold! You don't have to stay with one style- wear what you like- I always do. Next outfit switches it up to a date night! So check back soon!!
