What I love about you boo. Pt 2

With V-day coming up and all that lovey dovey stuff I thought I would write a post for my man. 

When I kiss Lyle he makes faces like this

He helps out around the house

always. He tried to tell me to go sit down and pick a movie while he cleaned up this disaster after our super bowl party. uh I don't think so babe. You already do enough.

 He's the best handyman

I came home from the gym and he had put up the M in our bathroom! He has also put up the shelves in our room and a plaque. I'm so glad he can do that kind of stuff and know what tools to use and what nails and things. He loves his little makeshift shoe box tool box.

When I cant sleep he stays up too

When Lyle goes out of town I don't sleep. I can't. I get scared and freak myself out and keep all the lights on and Lyle calls me and talks to me all night if necessary. I tell him to go to bed and he refuses. He then sent me these adorable texts before bed. We have every text ever sent to each other & i love it

He sends me videos like this:

Even when he's away he always finds ways to make me smile. Lyle randomly sent this to me the other day. You probably will not find this as funny as us but we love this guys vine videos- he is weird and awkward yet hilarious. check him out!

He takes my blog pictures

Before Lyle left we took pictures of like 7 outfits and he doesn't complain! He tries to help me in any way that he can and when I cant climb over the fence in my skirt he pulls me through. When I told Lyle I wanted to get serious about starting a fashion blog he was supportive. When I told Lyle I wanted to start taking pictures he was supportive. Any dream of mine Lyle wants to help and push me. I love him. Lets be real, boys don't care about clothes but Lyle always listens to me talk about them. P.S you all get a sneak peek of an upcoming outfit!

Lyle is so overly grateful (if theres such a thing). He acts like I do so much, and tells me I'm the best wife and best cook and loves everything I make. He is always saying thank you. I love the way he appreciates me for the randomest things. He always has the cutest nicknames for me. He is always telling me how much he loves me. He is always trying to let me pick the t.v. shows. He is always telling me to buy whatever I want. He is good at making me eggs & toast when I'm sick and for some reason thats all I want...He is good at taking care of me from a far- like scheduling doctors appts (since I don't know where to go) and sending me pizza factory! my fav! He calls and helps explain how to use the GPS so I don't get lost. He tells me I am so naturally beautiful at times when I look like a troll. He loves to take me to school and wait for me even though he doesn't need to. He is the hardest working man I know. He is in Texas right now and KILLING IT. He never thinks about himself or puts himself first. ever. All he talks about is his recruits or me or anyone but himself. He's so happy all. the. time. He seriously treats me like a princess. When I think about my life I just feel unbelievably blessed...but when I think about Lyle I feel like the luckiest girl in the entire world. I am so excited for our Valentines day this year! AH

Will you asept this rose?

Sometimes I wish it was socially acceptable to wear robes out in public...especially big white ones that have your husbands name monogrammed on them because they are kind of amazing. Sometimes your husband convinces you its a good idea to watch Breaking Bad so you do...and you cry every. single. episode...sometimes silently though so your husband doesn't think you're a big pansy. What can i say? I just feel so bad for that cute little old teacher- someone help the poor man! Sometimes you are emailing someone and your dog keeps dropping his toys on the keypad telling you to play with him and then sometimes he goes and lays down and starts chewing on his bone until sometimes its not his bone anymore but don't worry its just your Vera Bradley backpack....Thanks Murphy. Sometimes you know you are shopping too much when you become friends with the employees at the stores....and they recognize you. But then sometimes one of them hits on your man...right in front of you and is flirting with him but sometimes your man doesn't know how hot he is and he is just nice and all oblivious and you don't even get jealous because he's mine suckkkaaa. Sometimes the super bowl was super boring. Now you know how old some of these sometimes are huh? sometimes I made more food that necessary and sometimes you eat pulled pork for the next 4 days...whoops. But sometimes having a party for every event and holiday is SO necessary. Sometimes the flippin fog is not helping you be able to start your photography business! Annoying. Sometimes a decision to watch Sean and Catherine's Fairytale wedding at midnight may not be the best idea because sometimes you might wake up 10 minutes after you were supposed to leave for class the night day but then sometimes you get there in 8 minutes and you do not regret your decision one bit. Sometimes you refer to the one year anniversary of when your man asked you to be his girl as your "booversary" and you figure you'll just refer to it as that forever. Sometimes its kind of awkward when you lose your car in the parking lot and walk by it and then realized you walked by it but there are a group of people by it so sometimes you stand there until they leave... Sometimes when your hubby is gone you craft every day...but the outcome is pretty sweet! AH I am so excited about our home. It is SO perfect. Sometimes cough syrup is the new water, and being sick is a breeze when you get to take that heavenly stuff every couple hours. Sometimes people really don't believe you when you tell them that your husband likes the Bachelor just as much as you do...sometimes maybe even more...when he asks if you two are going to start it at the same time and watch it together when he's in Texas...he's too cute. Sometimes he does the BEST Juan Pablo impression and sometimes embarrassingly enough its kind of a turn on. Will you accept this rose? He says it all the time haha. SHH don't tell him I posted it. He's the best thing thats ever been mine :) 

Sometimes I dream about Pizza Factory breadsticks...guys its bad. and Sometimes I dream about doing switch leaps and then sometimes I try to do them because obv if I can do them in my dream I'm a pro and sometimes they look a little....uh different. And sometimes if I'm gonna be a Jazz dancer I have some work to do... Sometimes you worry that Lyle's friends are cooler than yours (well not ALL your friends- don't worry guys) Just some of them because sometimes they all come over to watch the Jazz game and some bring wives and everyone is seriously so chill and then sometimes the night ends with watching Baggage and the commentators...aka the buds crack me up. Sometimes most of your nights seem to end with baggage or youtube videos and you are wondering whats happening... Sometimes your niece can speak...like real words and sometimes its insane cause usually that chatterbox shouts words that aren't real and then all the sudden she speaks names and not just any name, MY NAME. Well, what my nieces and nephew call me. Sometimes I just wanna brag that it is the fourth word she ever spoke right after dada, baba and mama...yup, I'm kind of a big deal- ...although sometimes I secretly think she would totally say Lyle's if she could say L's because she adores him. But here's some proof! Sometimes I miss my babies more than anything always.

Sometimes you miss Hawaii and all but sometimes you know that it is a total vacation spot because you could never live there because sometimes this happens...me to a local "do you have a krispy Kreme or a Dunkin Donuts here? I have a really bad craving" Girl: "uhmm no, I think we do on another island though" sometimes that is not helpful girl. Nor did they have any real food places except a few in Waikiki because rice and shrimp surprisingly get old. Also sometimes beach hair is sexy for like a minute, or thats what they want you to believe in the magazines but you should see that stuff in real life cause that crap is not so fly...and finally sometimes i always would be obese because everything tastes better at the beach. everything. I swear I dont think I have ever tasted better cheetos in my life. For real guys. Sometimes tonight I convinced Lyle to go hang out with his friends (I know I'm awesome) and then I got all excited and decided to whip up some Chocolate Chip cookies and I strangely had a foreshadowing of me with kids and baking them treats for all their friends and I kinda liked it :) and I felt like a super cool wife and cant wait can wait to be the coolest mom ever.

Sweater Lovin

This post is all about being able to wear your favorite Spring or Summer clothes in the Winter. This dress is my husbands absolute favorite on me, so I wanted to find a way to be able to wear it when its cold outside and not look crazy. Sometimes I feel like living in Utah its warm only four months and I wanted to wear this more! Instead of the usual sandals or wedges and a cardigan I paired it with some Steve Madden ankle boots. These boots come in tons of colors and I absolutely adore them. This sweater is big and baggy and cozy but I actually liked pairing it with a dress because you can still feel girly and feminine. Sometimes oversized sweaters make me feel bulky or fat and I hate that but pairing it with a dress got rid of that. I was kinda nervous about how this outfit would turn out but the husband LOVED it & so do I. Don't be afraid to pair dresses or skirts with oversized sweaters, chunky scarves and boots. Don't be afraid to wear "spring or summer colors" in the Winter. People kind of shy away from wearing certain prints or colors but doing so helps to get rid of the Winter blues! Its nice to have pieces that you can wear all year long and a couple add ons transforms the outfit from Spring to Winter. Go through your own closet and see what you can wear all year round- try on some things and switch it up. You'll be surprised what you can keep in your closet all year and what actually works!

All about the booties

I love casual comfy outfits and this one tops my new favorite list. Everyone always acts surprised that I wear "heels"all the time but these are amazing. I got them real cheap in New York at a place called Strawberry over Winter break but I found them at Charlottes Russe too. They have them in other colors too. They look like a pair of Aldo knockoffs I initially wanted! I love them. The necklace and boat shirt in this color may still be at your local J Crew Factory but they aren't online at the moment. The necklace is to die for! I have had my eye on it for a while. It goes with absolutely everything and I get so many compliments. I love it.  The vest was a perfect touch to this simple yet comfy shirt and I wear it with a lot of things. I thought it dressed it up just a bit. I loved the little bit of sunshine I got when I wore this outfit and I cant wait for Spring and Summer!

A touch of Glam

A couple apologies before I start:

1. Sorry this impromptu photo shoot was taken in our lovely kitchen...kind of lame & weird but I decided I wanted to do a blog post of it last minute and it was dark so we improvised... Wont happen again 2. Sorry I was supposed to get this blog on over the weekend but I have been pretty sick the past two weeks- with a sinus infection...who knew those were so terrible? Anyway I've been sleeping a lot and after two weeks of not really cleaning or doing school I had a lot of catching up to do. But now that thats out of the way...

Glam to me is gold, red, sparkle, bling, fancy & confidence. I like the motto less is more because even though this outfit was very simple and some may not think glam right off the bat, I do. It doesn't necessarily mean your outfit has to come right off the red carpet but rather some curls, a red lipstick, black and glitter nails, touches of gold and some killer shoes. My "killer shoes" are my newest christmas present from mom and dad. You better believe I got them on sale...for all you Marylanders Arundel Mills has a Vince Camuto store and these babies were only about $50? because the whole store was 30-40% off. These shoes are the best and I always get compliments on them and they are not even uncomfortable in the slightest. I curl my hair when I wanna feel glam & add some lipstick. Most guys seem to love the red lipstick except my dad who thinks it looks "terrible." Honesty is the best policy right? The tip with red lipstick is not do to the rest of your makeup crazy when you do it- simple eyes if you wear it or else its just way too much. And if you aren't used to wearing lipstick- make sure you put chapstick on first or your lipstick wont look smooth and blot it a bit with tissues if its too dark for you- I still do this because I don't like it too harsh. Theres so many different colors to play around with- try heading to sephora and a makeup artist will help you find the right color for you.

When it comes to this blazer I LOVE IT. I have searched for the perfect blazer for a long time and this one was on sale for $10!! I suggest trying on blazers before buying them because they always fit different at least for me... Forever 21 usually has a bunch of cute ones if you're looking and I highly suggest you do. Dress an outfit up for work or even wear it casual-blazers have always screamed classy glam to me, hence me wanting one for so long. I seriously fell in love with this simple look- sometimes its nice to do up your hair and makeup and let that make the statement.

Date Night

I love date nights & well, dressing up for date nights.  Although in all honesty I try to dress up everyday but dates usually call for a little heel and maybe some tights. My favorite part of this outfit was the tights- because at $3.46 and FREE shipping you really can't beat them. I have tons of tights but mine always get tears or things and these babies have yet to fall apart. They do take about two weeks to get to you but they are pretty great! The bubble necklace is $7.99 FREE shipping also. I love to shop but even better is getting really cute stuff for cheap. A lot of the bloggers I follow post the CUTEST stuff but $500 for a pair of shoes isnt really realistic and they arent budgets for the everyday girl so heres an affordable yet cute (if you ask Lyle) outfit. This outfit was super comfy too, surprisingly even the shoes.

I picked a little bit more modest dresses but they also have way cute cheaper black dresses at Forever 21 or Charlottes russe. The booties were a little bit harder to find but mine are suede and the Urban Outfitter ones are way cute, though a little less fancy- Enjoy your date nights ladies!!
